Pennsylvania State Representative Malcolm Kenyatta had the best response yesterday to comments made by former speaker Kevin McCarthy regarding Joe Biden’s Oval Office.
McCarthy appeared on Fox News and attempted to dismiss the President as a feeble old man.
“In Biden’s Oval Office, it is the quietest place. No-one’s around. The only thing, there are cookies,” said McCarthy. “He offers you cookies every time you’re in there. And he goes and gets them. It is a depressing moment.”
Sounds like Biden maintains a quiet, studious atmosphere for work. And he likes to offer guests cookies.

Shocking!
The clip prompted some scathing comments on social media. Among those to wade in was out-gay Rep. Kenyatta. He reminded everyone, “In Trump’s Oval Office he watched his supporters try to hang his Vice President.”

Kenyatta’s comment is, of course, a reference to the insurrection on January 6th.
Many others questioned McCarthy’s supposed flex.
Who doesn’t like cookies? What is wrong with these people, that’s just polite.

You know what’s a real depressing moment,is Kevin McCarthy was elected on the 15th try after four days of unsuccessful House votes…and even more depressing,Kevin McCarthy after just 269day speakership became the shortest in more than 140 years and the third shortest in history

Remind me: Who was the pathetic sycophant that separated Trump’s favorite Starbursts into a special bowl for him? https://t.co/xtHNrxyUXT

Kenyatta, 33, a Democrat, represents Pennsylvania’s 181st district in the state house. He was elected in November 2018 and became one of the youngest people ever elected to the State House.
In 2022, he ran for the Senate but lost the primary to John Fetterman.
He is the Democratic nominee for Pennsylvania’s Auditor General in the 2024 election in November.
Kenyatta married his partner, Matthew, in 2022.
