Several queer celebrities have made last-ditch appeals to their followers to get out and vote today. The message from most is clear: Let’s get Kamala Harris into the White House and avoid the dangers of a second Trump presidency.
Comedian Wanda Sykes posted a video to Instagram.
“I feel good about election day,” she said. “We just gotta vote to make it happen.”
She warned that this election could change everything if Trump were to win. She included a list of states that accept same-day registrations and a list of voter protection hotlines.

In an accompanying caption, she said, “Reminder to vote—it’s never been more critical. In the past, it might’ve felt safe to sit on the sidelines because we had leaders who had decorum, respected the rules, and valued democracy. But everything changed with Trump. Now, we face candidates who ignore rules, make empty promises, and threaten the foundations of our democracy. We have a chance to elect someone competent, who’ll actually fight for the people. Vote blue, vote down the ballot—our democracy depends on it.”
Billie Eilish
Singer Billie Eilish has previously endorsed Kamala Harris. On Instagram yesterday, Eilish reshared a video of her stopping a recent concert and urging her fans to vote for Harris.
“Times are really scary and a lot is at stake. I know that if you’re in this room, you support me, and you support women, and I hope that you support Kamala Harris.”
Ricky Martin
Ricky Martin has previously endorsed Kamala Harris. He was also among the Latino stars to strongly criticize a speaker at Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally who disparaged Puerto Rico as a “floating island of garbage.”
Martin performed at a Harris rally yesterday in Philadelphia. He was honored to introduce his oldest kids—twins Matteo and Valentino—to Harris at the event.
“History class for my boys. Such a pleasure to perform at her rally in Philadelphia. Don’t forget to vote familia,” Martin said.
Adam Lambert and Billy Porter
Fellow singer Adam Lambert is currently appearing in Cabaret on Broadway. He reflected upon how the show concerns itself with the decadent nightclub scene in 1930s Berlin. People were enjoying themselves and having a good time, unaware of how quickly things would change and they’d be stripped of their freedoms.
“I think this election here in our country has a lot of the same echoes as some of the stuff that was going on in Germany in the 30s, and that is scary. Very scary.
“So please keep in mind what you want this country to look like, for you, for all the kids growing up right now, for the future. Because I really think, if we’re not careful, we don’t want to go down a path of no return.”
Billy Porter also posted a video to Instagram. He’s wearing a Harris-Walz campaign cap. He said he was feeling cautiously optimistic but had something to say.
“To all those still undecided … to all those who think this is a normal election, you’re naive and you’re wrong.
“Seven times he’s filed for bankruptcy. And some people seem to think he’s a smart businessman. A man with a fortune handed to him on a silver platter who’s squandered all of it. I implore you. I beg of you … please don’t be bamboozled. This is bamboozlement. This is chicanery. I don’t know what else to say. When somebody shows you who they are, believe them the first time.”
Porter went on to talk about Donald Trump’s 34 felony convictions. Porter points out that were Trump Black or gay, there’s no chance he’d be running for high office with such a record of crime: “And you all know it!”
Lady Gaga and Janelle Monae
Lady Gaga performed at another of Harris’s final rallies yesterday. Addressing the crowd in Pennsylvania, Gaga said, “Today, I am holding in my heart all the tough, tenacious women who made me who I am. I cast my vote for someone who will be a president for all Americans. And now, Pennsylvania, it’s your turn. The country is depending on you. So tomorrow, make sure all your voices are heard. Come on, let’s go!”
Gaga performed “The Edge of Glory” and “God Bless America”.
Janelle Monae also had a video message for undecided voters. She warns that decades of hard-won rights risk being rolled back if Trump wins victory.
Kamala Harris was among those to comment beneath the video, saying, “Your vote is your power. Thank you for using yours.”
