A television host who threatened to sexually assault Parkland survivor David Hogg has stepped down from his show.

Jamie Allman, who hosts the nightly news program The Allman Report in St. Louis, tweeted last month that he wanted to “ram a hot poker” up the student activist’s behind.

“When we kick their ass, they all like to claim we’re drunk,” he said in a tweet posted to the microblogging platform on March 26, which appears to have been deleted since. “I’ve been hanging out getting ready to ram a hot poker up David Hogg’s ass tomorrow. Busy working. Preparing.”

Allman continued digging at Hogg on his show, which until recently was broadcast on KDNL.

“You can’t say ‘Hey, I’m just a kid,” Allman claimed of the student, who has vocally criticized the National Rifle Association for its perceived complicity in the Feb. 14 shooting on Florida’s Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. “We have to be allowed to refute what you’re saying… or to respond to it, you can’t be all the time grabbing your blanket when the going gets tough.”

Following his comments, Twitter users advocated that companies who advertise on Allman’s program cease doing business with him. These businesses included 360 Investment, Arrowhead Building Supply, and Charter Communications, according to Democratic State Rep. Stacey Newman.

Allman’s comeuppance follows the continued boycott of Fox News host Laura Ingraham, who caused national controversy after mocking Hogg in a March 28 tweet. After The Laura Ingraham Show returned from hiatus, SlimFast announced on Tuesday it would no longer air commercials on the cable news program.

It’s the 21st company to cut ties with Ingraham.

After 17 students were killed during the Parkland shooting, Hogg has been a leading voice in a national movement for gun control. The student helped found Never Again MSD, a gun reform advocacy group spearheaded by survivors of the horrific tragedy.

His classmate, bisexual Latina activist Emma Gonzalez, has also been attacked as a “skinhead lesbian” for her advocacy.

These companies, however, will no longer need to pull their advertisingbecause there’s no show to advertise on. Ronn Torossian, a spokesperson for Sinclair Broadcast Group (which aired the program), confirmed The Allman Report has been yanked.

“We have accepted Mr. Allman’s resignation and his show has been canceled,” he said in a statement provided to CNN.

Torossian said Sinclair Broadcast Group would not comment further at this time. The media company has come under fire in recent weeks for forcing anchors to read statements bashing the media as “fake news.” Sinclair currently owns more local TV stations than any other entitycontrolling 173 daily news channels.

It remains to be seen, however, whether Allman will also be removed from his radio show. The host of KFTK-FM’s Allman in the Morning claimed he would be taking “a few days off” in light of the controversy, as journalist Charles Baco reports.
