Woke Boy Scouts Throw Gender Out Window and Allow Girls to Join Cub, Eagle Scouts

· Updated on May 28, 2018

Someone has earned their woke badge.

In a move that’s already stoked faux conservative outrage, the National Boy Scouts Association has moved to allow girls to join the organization’s Cub Scout program and will also develop a Scouting program for girls that will allow them to gain Eagle Scout status, the organization announced in a press release.

According to the press release, the post-gender decision comes after years of families requesting for girls to be allowed to join.

“This decision is true to the BSA’s mission and core values outlined in the Scout Oath and Law. The values of Scouting – trustworthy, loyal, helpful, kind, brave and reverent, for example – are important for both young men and women,” Michael Surbaugh, the BSA’s Chief Scout Executive, said.

“We believe it is critical to evolve how our programs meet the needs of families interested in positive and lifelong experiences for their children. We strive to bring what our organization does best – developing character and leadership for young people – to as many families and youth as possible as we help shape the next generation of leaders.”

Already, president Donald Trump’s son, as well as other conservatives, slammed the decision on Twitter.

But, as several women pointed out on Twitter, the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts are not simply mirror images of each other catering to two different genders of children. The Boy Scouts get to actually scout while the Girl Scouts is more aimed to delivering sugary treats to ravenous Americans.

The move to accept young girls into the Boy Scouts program comes less than a year after the BSA moved to allow out transgender youth to participate in their program, as well.

The program, according to the press release, will begin allowing girls to sign up for Cub Scouts in the 2018 cycle. Existing scout packs can decide whether to establish an all-girl pack or gasp! let boys and girls co-mingle. Cub Scout dens, however, will be single-gender.

The BSA also pointed out that they have had co-ed programs since 1971.

Ahh, we love the smell of unnecessary conservative outrage in the morning.
