Here’s what the Democratic victory in Wisconsin tells us

Wisconsin Supreme Court candidate Susan Crawford speaks at her election night watch party Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at the Best Western Premier Park Hotel in Madison, Wisconsin. She defeated Brad Schimel in a race that drew national attention.]

Wisconsin recently held an election for a new supreme court judge after Justice Ann Walsh Bradley announced her retirement. The two candidates were Susan Crawford on the Democratic side and Brad Schimel of the Republican party.

Of course, Elon has to stick his grubby little fingers in all facets of American politics. Musk poured millions of dollars to get Schimel elected, but to no avail. It was announced yesterday that Crawford beat Schimel and will serve as the newest Supreme Court Justice in Wisconsin.

This election would’ve been easily forgettable to those outside Wisconsin had it not been for the fact that Elon is literally, and I cannot stress this enough, a f***ing lunatic.

He hands out 1 million dollar checks to voters on live television, which, if you are not aware, is a crime known as electoral fraud.

Throughout the campaign, Musk tried to convince Wisconsin voters that voter fraud is a serious issue that could be solved by imposing rules that…would make it easier for politicians to commit voter fraud.

Thankfully, Musk’s plan failed, not only losing the race for his favored candidate, but getting Musk loudly booed at a Town Hall event in the process. It was so satisfying to see people refuse to be talked down by someone who makes twice the combined wealth of everyone in attendance.

Last I checked in on Wisconsin, it seemed like they were in the rough. Milwaukee, a city with a vibrant LGBTQ+ community, just lost its oldest gay bar.

Now, we have a huge L from Elon Musk to point and laugh at. It’s not much, but it’s something.
