If you’re keen on seeing the American Idol revival over on ABC not Fox! the release date has just been announced. Those hoping to see the new judges Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan along with franchise stalwart Ryan Seacrest will be able to do so on Sunday, March 11, Variety reports.
Sunday is a new night for the former ratings juggernaut, which launched the careers of stars like Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood and Adam Lambert.
For her spot on the judges table, Perry nabbed a hefty salary of $25 million, which left little in their coffers to entice other judges. After signing Perry and Seacrest (who got $15 million), there was only $10 million left to nab Richie and Bryan.
