If you donβt remember this soon-to-be Academy-award-winning video of Britney Spears painting in a sun-drenched garden, please take a moment to refresh yourself.
Not only has Britney surpassed Picasso in her art skills, her art is now fetching a pretty penny and for charity.
According to local affiliate WJLA, the painting form that iconic video has sold for $10,000, and the money is set to go to a charity for those affected by the Las Vegas mass shooting in October. The auction took place Sunday night during the Vegas Cares benefit concert, which honored both first responders and victims of the tragedy.
βIβm so proud to call Vegas my second home and Iβm pleased to participate in this Vegas Cares show,β Spears said in a video message during the concert, according to WJLA. βThe flowers in my painting represent a new beginning, and itβs in that spirit that we move forward.β
