Doechii’s Fashion Week debut outfit has the Internet in a chokehold

After making history at the Grammys, Doechii is now turning heads on the runway. The critically acclaimed rapper recently branched out from the music scene, making her Milan Fashion Week debut in a look that has left the Internet weak.

On Tuesday, Doechii christened her first Fashion Week with Italian brand Dsquared2. After rolling up to the show in an armored truck, the “Denial is a River” rapper sprinted to the runway in stiletto heels. From there, with her track “Nissan Altima” playing in the background, she strutted to the end of a catwalk and pulled out a cigarette from the carton attached to her sleeve.

Doechii’s look was modeled after the brand’s Y2K aesthetic. She wore a backpack combined with a corset and fur-hooded puffer jacket, thick belted jean minishorts, and a graphic tee reading “Iconique” ending in a jersey train.

“Iconique” is not just a word on a t-shirt. As fashion week catwalks go, you’d be hard-pressed to find a more theatrical and show-stopping debut.

“Doechii walk is eating!!!” one commenter wrote on Vogue’s roundup post of the event. “The run to the stop to the strut,” commented another. “She been ready.”

“When she said ‘I’m everything’ she meant it,” a third added.

According to Women’s Wear Daily, Doechii previously collaborated with Dsquared2 at last year’s iHeartRadio Music Awards. Following her runway debut on the Milan stage, Doechii closed out the show with a performance of “Alter Ego.”

“Nissan Altima” was the first single released off her 2024 mixtape Alligator Bites Never Heal, which would go on to win Best Rap Album at the Grammys and make her the third Black female artist to do so. Her collaboration track with JT, “Alter Ego,” was recently featured as a lip sync challenge on RuPaul’s Drag Race where Doechii served (in more ways than one) as guest judge.
