Zachary Quinto and his “bad vibes” are no longer welcome, one business owner says. A popular restaurant in Toronto recently banned Quinto and called him out on social media for his alleged behavior. The Star Trek actor “yelled at our staff like an entitled child”, the restaurant wrote.
Over the weekend, Quinto celebrated his 47th birthday in Toronto. At some point during the festivities, he went to brunch at Manita, a cafe, bar and grocery store known for its “Mediterranean-ish” cuisine. Thereafter, the celebration apparently got ugly.
“Zachary Quinto – an amazing Spock, but a terrible customer,” Manita wrote in an Instagram story on Sunday tagging Quinto.

“Yelled at our staff like an entitled child after he didn’t reply to two texts to inform him his table was ready and refused to believe the empty tables in the dining room weren’t available for him despite being politely informed they were spoken for. Made our host cry and the rest of our brunch diners uncomfortable.
“Mr. Quinto, take your bad vibes somewhere else, we have many lovely celebrities join us at Manita but you are NOT one of them,” the post concluded.
On Monday, Manita reposted the story to its main feeded and added additional context in the caption. “This isn’t the first time, nor will it be the last time an irate guest has taken their frustrations out on our staff,” Manita said.
“Manita is deeply grateful for our mostly incredible, friendly, gracious guests … who may give us constructive feedback from time to time. To all the other Zachary Quintos out there, on behalf of restaurant workers everywhere:
“We aren’t above criticism, but we are above being demeaned.”
At the time of writing, Quinto has yet to respond to the story.
