Gays, rejoice! Jasmin Savoy Brown, star of Yellowjackets and Scream just launched a brand new podcast called “Today in Gay!”
The podcast aims to be a “short, joyful daily news podcast by and for the queer community,” serving as the LGBTQ+ equivalent to NPR’s “Up First” or NYT’s “The Headlines.”

The podcast is going to be hosted by Nay Bever, Vico Ortiz, and Bex-Taylor Klaus, with Lauren Klein composing the theme song and working as an editor. Hannah Nobrega will be researching, and Jax Ko will be providing illustrations. Everyone working on the show identifies as queer.
The podcast is funded entirely by Brown, with all members of the show being paid the same rate of $50/hr.
It’s set to launch January 1, with early Substack subscribers being able to listen as early as Dec. 30. Pricing for this podcast is $6/month, or $60/year, with access to weekly bonus episodes and community chats.
