Pedro Pascal condemns JK Rowling as a “heinous loser” and rocks a pro-trans T-shirt

We all know JK Rowling is a heartless ghoul, but recently, the way she reacted to the UK Supreme Court’s decision to define sex to exclude trans people makes me believe that all the villains in her books are self-inserts.

For those who are unaware, she posted a selfie of her essentially gloating about trans people being marginalized by their government with a celebratory drink and a Cuban cigar, captioned, “I love it when a plan comes together.”

That post makes me angry, and I hope she choked on her drink and had to clear her throat for 20 minutes.

Since then, many people have commented on how disgusting it was for her to do that, including Bridgerton star Nicola Coughlan, who went on to say of HBO’s upcoming Harry Potter series that she “wouldn’t touch it with a 10ft pole.” She has also reacted to the Supreme Court decision by raising over £120k for a charity organization that helps trans people in the UK.

Recently, fellow celeb Pedro Pascal has weighed in on his thoughts towards the now disgraced author. Pascal has been exceptionally vocal about being an ally to the LGBTQ+ community. His support for transgender rights is also one that’s personal to him, as his younger sister, actress Lux Pascal, is a trans woman. Many trans allies are people who have transgender family members, which is understandable considering many people prefer their loved ones to be safe and happy in today’s world.

In a viral instagram post by writer Tariq Ra’ouf, Ra’ouf branded her celebration “serious Voldemort villain sh*t.”

Pascal commented on Ra’ouf’s post, writing, “Awful disgusting SH*T is exactly right. Heinous LOSER behavior.”

Earlier this week, Pascal arrived on the red carpet at the UK premiere of Thunderbolts wearing a T-shirt reading “Protect The Dolls.” It was that same T-shirt he wore on his 50th birthday, where he posed alongside trans DJ Honey Dijon.

The shirt by fashion designer Connor Ives was made to raise money for the nonprofit Trans Lifeline. The UK premiere was held days after the Supreme Court ruling, meaning Pascal’s wardrobe choice was most likely intentional as a form of minor protest against the British government, saying trans rights are human rights.

Actress Florence Pugh recently spoke to MTV UK about Pedro Pascal’s appearance at the premiere, praising his fashion sense: “That incredible top! And I need one!” she said. “He is amazing. He is just a gem.”
