This week, the trans-exclusionary radical feminist author of Harry Potter revealed that she is investing a significant portion of her $1.2 billion to create a legal fund for trans antagonists to destroy trans women’s legal rights in the United Kingdom.

She announced the J.K. Rowling Women’s Fund on X, where she said, “I looked into all options and a private fund is the most efficient, streamlined way for me to do this.” She added that: “lots of people are offering to contribute, which I truly appreciate, but there are many other women’s rights orgs that could do with the money, so donate away, just not to me!”

Rowling does not deny where her wealth came from. In her replies, a fan stated that “buying your books is also a way of donating to your organizations, I suppose.” In response to this, she posted a laughing emoji, likely in an attempt to mock those who call for a boycott in response to her transphobia.
Rowling has publicly feuded with actor Daniel Radcliffe, who played Harry Potter in the series’ film adaptations, due to his public defense of transgender people. Similar battles were seen with actors Emma Watson, who played Hermione Granger, and Rupert Grint, who played Ron Weasley.
This comes after the British government has led an unprecedented hate campaign against trans people across the country, including erasing trans people from the law via a Supreme Court change to the Gender Recognition Act and using the biased Cass Review to justify a ban on gender affirming care for minors.
It is currently unclear if anyone has yet received money from the new fund.
