While last night’s VH1 Hip Hop Honors awards was a celebration of all the best artists within the genre, the highlight of the show was the incomparable Missy Elliot.
Decked out in leather and chains, the artist was flanked by dancers as she performed her iconic song “She’s a Bitch” from 1999. While on stage she also broke into a Jersey club remix of the song, which was produced by DJ Jayhood.
The artist had taken a hiatus from performing over the last decade, but reemerged at FYF Festival in Los Angles back in August. And since she’s been burning up pop culture with moments like these as a reminder that she’s not only that “bitch”, but also that Queen.
