Legend, icon, destroyer of TERFs and unclockable soul Monica Beverly Hillz has done it again. For a special Trans Day of Visibility photoshoot, Monica posed in red, white, and blue holding a firearm and wearing what would at first appear to be a MAGA hat—but after the initial jump scare its true message comes through loud and clear. “Make America Trans Again,” the hat reads, and we must applaud the sentiment!

If you’re not aware of the lore, here are some salient points: Monica Beverly Hillz came out as trans during her first Drag Race appearance in 2013 and returned for All Stars in 2023, when she gave us this fantastic bop:
Culture, unfiltered
Our newsletter will bring you the pulse of queer culture, from the tastemakers to the groundbreakers.
Since that time, she’s become a legend in her own right, speaking up for trans rights and speaking out against transphobia. More recently, she caused a certain troll named Josh Seiter to go into a complete tailspin after unceremoniously dumping his sorry a**!

Monica has shown she can troll with the best of them, as wonderfully evidenced by this TDOV shoot.
It’s giving Cowboy Carter Ameriicana subversion, and we love it. We’re not the only ones. Fellow Drag Race icon Kandy Muse commented: “you know what, hell yea.” Another commenter noted: “speaking a language they understand,” referring to Hillz’s subversive take on the MAGA uniform. That’s right: fighting fire with fire!
For TDOV, Hillz also shared stats Transformations, the Midwestern trans charity she collaborated with last year.
If you’re feeling down about the state of trans rights in this country—and you should be—remember that we still have people working and fighting for us behind the scenes. And in front of the scenes! When it comes to transphobes, be like Monica Beverly Hillz and show these clowns what you’re really about.
