Hey, VMAs, what’s good?
Rap superstar Nicki Minaj brought an energetic performance of two fan-favorite songs — “Barbie Dreams” and “Majesty” — to the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards stage as the most high-profile part of the promotional tour for her fourth album, Queen.
Minaj’s “Barbie Dreams” is a Notorious B.I.G.-sampling ode to all the male rappers she’d like to have sex with while “Majesty” is a fast-paced braggadocio number underscoring her own icon status.
Fans on Twitter were loving the Minaj performance and noticed that her own crowd was way more hype than people attending the VMAs. (Minaj’s performance took place downtown, away from Radio City Music Hall.)
How about we take this to the next level?

Prior to her performance, Minaj already walked away a winner. Earlier in the night, she garnered a VMA for “Best Hip Hop Video” for the visual for her song “Chun Li.”
