Nicki Minaj may have spent most of the weekend complaining about the #2 debut of her fourth studio album, Queen, but she certainly walked away a winner at the MTV Video Music Awards.

Minaj won the trophy for “Best Hip Hop Video,” the first award of the night at the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards. Minaj’s win comes less than two weeks after the release of Queen. She shouted out her fans watching at home for supporting the LP.

While accepting the award, Minaj lightly chided VMAs presenter Tiffany Haddish for joking that singer Camila Cabello’s bandmates Fifth Harmony were at home watching the awards.

“Normani is that bitch!” she told Haddish.

Minaj caused a bit of a dust-up earlier today when rapper Travis Scott asked that he and Kylie Jenner’s seats be moved away from Minaj after Minaj blamed some of his album bundle sales for blocking Queen from the top spot on the Billboard charts.

This is Minaj’s fourth VMA win and her third in the Best Hip-Hop Video category.
