Olivia Rodrigo just majorly shaded Trump with this power move

There’s no doubt about it: Olivia Rodrigo is a hero of our time. When you look in the dictionary under “guts,” you’ll see Rodrigo’s picture—and not just because her sophomore album title. Rodrigo isn’t just Gen Z’s poet laureate, she suffers no bullsh*t and bows to no overlords. And the President re-elect (barf) is no exception.

After the Team Trump TikTok account posted a depressing image gallery on Wednesday using Rodrigo’s “Deja Vu” as the background sound, our diva let no time pass and minced no words in putting a stop to the chicanery.

In a since-removed comment, Rodrigo told Trump and his team “ew don’t use my sound ever again ty” before removing the sound from the app entirely.

We knew Rodrigo had unprecedented stores of charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent before this moment, but this latest move is inspiring us to new heights of worship. She’s entered the upper echelon of divas who don’t give a single f*ck, which is exactly where she belongs, right in between Patti LuPone and Barbra “there are no words” Streisand.

Fans were sounding off in the comments. “Clock that pig for me mother,” one user wrote. “She really said MY sound MY choice,” another said. One user simply suggested, “Sue him Liv!”

Honestly, not a bad idea! Rodrigo joins the proud ranks of musicians who refuse to let Trump use their music in association with his campaign, along with ABBA, Steven Tyler, and Adele.

She’ll never stop making us proud.
