Patti Lupone’s Grammy Performance Has Slain Us All

· Updated on May 28, 2018

I am reporting this from beyond the grave, because Patti Lupone has truly killed us all with that voice. During a Grammys segment celebrating Broadway musicals, and the awards show’s return to New York, Patti Lupone performed “Don’t Cry for Me Argentina,” from the show Evita, which she starred in when the musical opened on Broadway in 1979.

Spoiler alert: Patti was perfect. Her singing, her vibrato, her diction: it was all there. And Twitter was here for it.

We stan a legend!
