Trump praises sportsmen’s “healthy arms” in bizarre new rant

In between completely destroying the economy and giving his buddy Elon Musk the keys to the government, Trump took some time out this week to celebrate America’s favorite pastime…ogling the arms of hot men.

The LA Dodgers visited the White House this morning, prompting a speech from Trump that features all the earmarks of his unique prose style: long pauses, thoughts broken off mid-sentence, and weird rambling about nothing.

Trump: When you ran out the healthy arms, you ran out of really healthy— they had great arms but they ran out. It’s called sports. It’s called baseball in particular and pitchers I guess you could say, really particular

In the midst of reading a speech, Trump seemed to go off-script when discussing the players’ arms.

“When you ran out the healthy arms,” he begins, “you ran out of really healthy— they had great arms but they ran out. It’s called sports. It’s called baseball in particular and pitchers I guess you could say, really particular.”

Obviously there’s nothing new or strange about this kind of word salad coming from Trump—the strange thing is that no matter how much evidence we see of the man’s incompetence, nobody seems to care or believe it matters. The hypocrisy of this compared to the last administration is baffling. “Biden said “if we finally beat Medicare” instead of “if we finally beat Covid” during a debate and his career was over,” one commenter noted. But I guess it’s fine if you ramble on about how great a baseball pitcher’s arms are.
