Russell Tovey is Engaged to a Rugby Hunk

· Updated on May 28, 2018

Over the past few years, we’ve all fallen in love with the adorable big-eared British charm that is gay actor, Russell Tovey. Whether he was being a werewolf on BBC’s Being Human or just being a total dog on HBO’s Looking or helping to save the world from terrorists on ABC’s Quantico, Tovey has stolen our hearts with every role.

But it turns out we weren’t the only ones falling in love. As of recently, the actor has been dating Steve Brockman, having gotten serious in the summer of 2017. This week, the two confirmed their engagement.

“Completely unexpected but very, very happy and looking forward to having a proper party to celebrate when back in London,” Tovey told DailyMail.

The two currently live in New York, where Tovey stars in Quantico alongside Priyanka Chopra. Brockman relocated to be with Tovey in 2017 when Tovey starred in Angels In America at New York’s National Theatre with Andrew Garfield. According to DailyMail, it’s believed that Brockman changed professions in order to make the move, taking a job as a rugby coach.

Brockman formerly played for the Kings Cross Steelers, the first ever gay-inclusive rugby union club, founded in 1995 in London. And if you follow Brockman on Instagram, he fulfills all our rugby hunk fantasies. I guess if we had to lose Tovey to anyone, at least it’s a piece of eye candy like him.
