This year’s Emmy Awards is stocked with epic TV shows for some great pop culture references. And luckily host Stephen Colbert has the comedic prowess to pull them off.
As he began to announce another presenter, he went through some cliché host jargon in what appeared to be a computer glitch. That’s when some creepy men in hazmat suits came on and dragged him offstage to Bernard Lowe (Jeffrey Wright) from HBO’s Westworld for some reprogramming. Bernard ran him through some common Emmy’s situations (accepting an award, seeing Tom Hanks at the after party, praising Julia Louis-Drefus, etc.)
But all Colbert wanted to know was why he was naked, as if that’s not the social standard among sexy HBO robots. We were fine with naked daddy Colbert-bot though.
And as it turns out, Tituss Burgess is also a robot. He sneaks off to round up some cowboys in his western chic party wear.
