The gays are dragging Katy Perry’s space trip to hell and back

As Katy Perry’s majestic flop era continues, the gays continue to eat. There’s nothing like studying the moves of a clueless diva trying her best to get back to cultural prominence and only managing to take L after L after L…sometimes in space!

I’m sure by now we all know that Perry—along with Gayle King—went to space recently, for reasons we still can’t quite grasp. But the diva let out a high note while floating in the atmosphere, and apparently we’re supposed to be impressed by this.

To which the gays said; nope! Sorry!

We’d much rather enjoy the operatic stylings of this iconic The Fifth Element soprano than anything Katy Perry has to give at this point.

And the real gag is, everybody else seems to feel the same way. Hence the speed with which that ship came right back down to Earth.

I mean, we can’t blame a diva for wanting to get back to this flaming hell pit post-haste. There’s so much more damage that can be done, so much more cringe yet to be enacted…

Even the brands are weighing in on this cultural moment…and they’re saying “keep it.”

Even if Katy Perry herself is giving us less than nothing in her 143 era, she’s at least giving us laughs. Which we deeply, sorely need right now.

Listen, there’s one thing Perry can still teach us: never let a press opportunity go to waste, even (especially) if it takes you to parts unknown.
