The gays have choice words for Carrie Underwood after this gross announcement

As the dreaded inauguration draws closer, we continue to brace ourselves for the fresh hell that awaits us on January 20th.

Then again, why wait? The news that once-beloved country singer Carrie Underwood will be performing at the inauguration is a perfect reason to freak out this very minute!

Needless to say, after the announcement dropped yesterday, gays who’d once pledged their allegiance to the American Idol and “Before He Cheats” diva were quick to revoke their respect.

Carrie Underwood is dead to me now, which means my current condition of not being able to name a single song of hers is permanent

The gays simply aren’t having it.

For all the people who were rooting for Underwood, this is a massive blow.

We’ll miss singing along to “Before He Cheats” at karaoke, but these are desperate times, and desperate measures must be taken.

This is a dark day for her two remaining stans.

As always, we’re not surprised, but we are saddened and disappointment. “Diva down” hardly begins to cover it. Broadway barely just recovered from the great Nicole Scherzinger hat incident and now this? Quel horror!

There’s only one thing left to do: tear our proverbial keys into the proverbial side of his proverbial pretty little souped-up four wheel drive, carve our names into his legacy.
