The hunkiest Robin Hoods of all time, ranked

Robin Hood might have died some time ago—or never existed to begin with—but there’s no doubt that his cultural resonance only grows with time. Whether you grew up watching the Disney (furry) version or came of age with Kevin Costner and Cary Elwes, chances are Robin has had some role to play in your sexual awakening.

Which is why it’s time to try our level best to rank all the Robin Hoods that made us laugh, scream, and most importantly, cum. Without further ado, I present the hunkiest Robin Hoods of all time, ranked for your pleasure.

Douglas Fairbanks, Robin Hood (1922)

Perhaps “hunky” isn’t the first word that comes to mind with this version, but it can’t be denied that Douglas Fairbanks Sr. has a certain something—something that comes across beautifully when he wears those skintight leggings. Points for effort!

The Furry Version (1973)

Brian Bedford lent his voice talents to this very silly but utterly 1973 iconic Disney cartoon made during the company’s flop era. If it has a special place in our hearts, it’s because there’s just a certain something about Furry Robin that tugs at the heartstrings…and the loins?

Sean Connery, Robin and Marian (1976)

The Bond hero maybe isn’t at his hottest in this role, but he’s still Sean Connery. This is perhaps the most eyebrow-forward take on Robin we’ve seen yet, which is also impressive.

Errol Flynn, The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938)

Flynn might not be your cup of tea, but there’s no denying he wears that signature feathered hat well in the 1938 Technicolor explosion that is The Adventures of Robin Hood.

Michael Praed, “Robin of Sherwood”

In the 80s, matinee idol Praed gave us a long-haired, utterly dreamy version of the socialist thief, and we’ve never forgotten it.

Kevin Costner, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (1991)

While Costner is technically more cute than hunky, he still delivers in the 90s update of the classic tale.

Kyuhyun, Robin Hood the Musical (2015)

South Korean musical theater star Kyuhyun took on the legend of Robin Hood in a 2015 musical adaptation, and let’s just say the hunk levels are off the charts here

Jessye Romeo, Robyn Hood (2023)

Look, ladies can be hunks, too, and Jessye Romeo brings some extreme hottie energy to Robin in this modern take on the classic story that recasts the Merry Men as rappers starting a movement at the intersection of Sherwood and Forest.

Russell Crowe, Robin Hood (2010)

Crowe fans rejoice! This gritty, Christopher Nolan’s Batman-style take on Robin Hood delivers, if only because Russell Crowe is incapable of not being sexy.

Cary Elwes, Robin Hood: Men in Tights (1993)

Say what you want about the movie: there’s no denying that Cary Elwes is and has always been a certified hunk who was 100% made to wear that hat. Robin of Loxley never looked better.
