This new hoax proves transvestigators have zero critical thinking skills

A viral post over the weekend claims the frequently-viral OnlyFans star Bonnie Blue is secretly trans. While the paranoid investigation of public figures for imagined trans traits is nothing new, the “evidence” in this particular case is laughably awful, even by transvestigator standards.

On June 14, an X user posted a series of photos containing supposed evidence that Blue is a trans woman.

The first image is a side-by-side comparison of Blue and a similar looking blonde and blue eyed male. The next is a purported screenshot of Blue’s Wikipedia page, which identifies her as “Kyle Butler” and contains the highlighted sentence: “She has spoken about her sex change at 13 briefly in a small podcast in 2022 which was later taken down by blues requests.” The final images use unlabeled measurements and an overlay of a cartoon male skull to suggest that Blue has the proportions of a man.

The post has since gone viral, attracting over 350K views at the time of writing. According to Pink News, Google search data indicates a severe spike for the search term “Bonnie Blue trans” since the images were posted.

But almost anyone with eyes and a functioning brain could see within seconds that the “evidence” is obviously faked. Unfortunately, that criteria seems to rule out most transvestigators.

On the “wikipedia page” screenshot, Kyle Butler’s birth date is listed as 1985, adding around 25 years to the age listed on Blue’s actual Wikipedia. It also claims that she had a “sex change” at 13, but the “Kyle Butler” depicted in the first photo is visibly older than 13.

The highlighted sentence describing the “sex change” is also full of grammatical errors. Most egregiously, it says the episode was taken down at “blues request,” failing to capitalize her last name and include an apostrophe.

There’s also the very dumb idea that this insider information came from the first paragraph of her Wikipedia page. According to a recent article from The Economist, “[Blue’s] Wikipedia page gets more traffic than Beyoncé’s, and a little less than Taylor Swift’s.” But somehow, Blue—whose name is almost never out of the tabloids—has managed to keep this secret in plain sight on her Wikipedia page.

As for the unlabeled measurements and the clip art male skull, I think we’ve had enough stupidity for one day without debunking those. As usual, all this post managed to prove is that transvestigators are an embarrassingly obsessed and gullible lot.
