This sapphic theory behind Zoe Kravitz’s breakup has the Gaylors screaming

Quite recently, we collectively witnessed the end of the world’s most fascinating celebrity relationship, the brief but fruitful union of Zoe Kravitz and Channing Tatum. The two ultimately didn’t last, but in their brief courtship they managed to make a feature film and visit the Criterion closet together, which is a lot more than most of us can say for our failed relationships. Good on them! And even better on them for parting ways cordially and gracefully, with nothing but good things to say about each other.

Which means that we can all safely move on to the next event: the rebound. And for Kravitz, it’s not taking the direction one might expect.

Now strap in, because this development requires a full understanding of Gaylor lore.

Remember back in the day when we didn’t spend all our time thinking about the election and could afford to sit around considering elaborate theories about whether or not Taylor Swift was…you know…wearing a scarf with the bisexual flag colors? Those were the days. They gave us so much great content, including a full explainer on the relationship between past besties Swift and Glee alum Dianna Agron.

Some years ago, rumors swirled around Agron’s sexuality after she wore a shirt that said “Like Girls” on it—since this came during Agron’s peak Glee years, it caused quite a stir, and thus Shirtgate was born.

We still don’t have an answer from Agron on how she identifies, but in a recent paparazzi photo, Agron and Kravitz—both friends of Taylor Swift—were shown sitting next to each other in a cab. Now obviously two women can sit next to each other in a car and not be engaged in a romantic relationship…but the lore!

The two attended a West Hollywood party together over the weekend, and it didn’t take long for Swift fans to start conjecturing.

“These two women are key characters in the Taylor Swift cinematic universe,” one TikToker noted. Both have been the subject of much speculation in terms of Swift’s own sexuality. The Kravitz-Swift dating rumors were in fact the basis of an entire powerpoint alleging that the two dated in 2020 while sharing a quarantine “pod.” Agron and Swift got the same treatment back in 2012.

So now people are wondering…is this Agron/Kravitz friendship actually a product of Swift’s matchmaking?

“Does anyone remember Dianna and Taylor used to wear matching scissors jewelry, a necklace and a bracelet?” One commenter asked after seeing the TikTok. “Those days are my Roman Empire.”

“Didn’t Zoe write a song called Not Diana,” another pointed out. And yes, indeed she did—a song about comparing herself to another woman named Diana, albeit not spelled the same way as Agron’s name.

As usual with the Gaylors, the evidence is deliciously damning, and also completely preposterous. That said, one commenter piped up with some choice intel that we’re definitely better off for knowing about…

“I saw dianna agron at a gay af Baby Queen concert in nyc and bc of that shes not living it down,” they noted.

Consider us convinced.
