Rumors have been circulating that queer singer Billie Eilish has been cast as Rogue in an upcoming, live-action rendition of the beloved Marvel franchise, The X-Men.
The originate from a post from @Marvelnewszz, who said, “’Billie Eilish’ has been reportedly cast as Rogue, the complex and powerful mutant, in an upcoming MCU project.”
However, users were rightfully suspicious of this claim. Beyond the fact that this account is not a reputable, community-vetted source for leaks, a Community Notes quickly pointed out that there are no external sources confirming this.

“There are no sources that confirm this rumor. The ‘X-Men’ reboot from Marvel Studios has only just entered early development in 2023 and would not be in the casting stage,” says the note.
An additional post from @marvel_updat3s stated that X user @DanielRPK, also known as Daniel Richtman, leaked Marvel Studios’ having interest in Eilish for a “big role.”
According to the moderators of the subreddit r/MarvelStudioSpoilers, Richtman is a “mostly reliable” source who has had 77.6% of his Marvel leaks confirmed as accurate. However, Richtman has come out publicly against @marvel_updat3s, stating that the account tends to share fake leaks that it falsely attributed to him.
Richtman, however, has posted on his Patreon about Billie Eilish, a post which INTO More obtained access to. In it, he does indeed claim that Marvel is interested in Eilish for a big role—however no additional information is provided, and thus far it is only a rumor.
INTO More reached out to Richtman for more information on whether he actually shared this leak, however did not receive a response. This article will be updated accordingly.
As of now, the only information we have so far is from a leaker who alleges that Eilish is being considered for a big role. No other information is available, and we certainly don’t know specifics about the role.
