Cardi B hit the kitchen to make “Cardi-ritas,” and it was as hilarious as you’d expect

Move over, Gordon Ramsay. There’s a new chef in town and her name is Cardi B, okurrr?!

The hilarious rapper hit the kitchen with Vogue for their “Now Serving” series, where she showed off her cooking skills to make drinks, dips, and wield a blow torch. It was as chaotic (and iconic) as you’d expect.

You might be surprised to find out that Cardi –– who recently joked she was “setting [herself] up to have diarrhea” on Hot Ones –– is quite the culinary connoisseur. The Bronx native loves to entertain family and friends, and treat her husband, rapper Offset, to a meal. “When I cook for my man, I get sexy,” she teased.

Fittingly, she kicked things off with a “Cardi-rita,” featuring tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice, and coconut cream. “The difference between a Cardi-rita and a margarita is, you know, that I did it,” she joked.

After topping the delectable frozen drink with some lime whip shots for “a little razzle dazzle,” Cardi got cracking on a street style corn dip. “It’s sweet and it’s cheesy and I just love those combinations,” she explained. The recipe is even Bardi Gang approved; she revealed her family found it on Instagram and cannot “stop making … in our house.”

The “WAP” rapper can certainly handle the heat, but her fabulous, pink acrylic nails created a bit of a challenge while she was trying to shave some corn off the cob. “Where’s my chef,” she joked, before a little editing magic helped speed up the process. To finish it off, she busted out a blow torch to give the mozzarella a nice tinge. Be warned though, “these are for professionals like me,” she said.

With her enigmatic energy and tongue-in-cheek sense of humor, Cardi can make anything look entertaining. If she ever wants to make the pivot to celebrity chef, we’d be seated!

Cardi B Teams Up Again With Megan Thee Stallion for New Song ‘Bongos’

The world will be blessed by the sounds of “Bongos” on Sept. 8.

No cooking sesh is complete without tunes though. “Certain dishes just got a type of music,” Cardi explained, adding that the tangy dip reminded her of “Bongos,” her fiery new collab with Megan Thee Stallion. “It’s colorful, it’s vibrant, it’s good, it’s spicy, it’s creamy,” she said.

The Latin-infused and twerk-worthy bop, which recently hit No. 14 on the Billboard Hot 100, is already a hit amongst fans. The two rappers debuted the song live at this year’s Video Music Awards and its high-fashion, a**-shaking visual is another cultural reset.

That being said, being a bodacious performer and style icon is hard work. And in between sips of her frothy Cardi-rita, the rapper revealed her ideal day is a low-key hang with her loved ones. “A perfect day at home … would be a day when all my family comes over,” she said. “I don’t have nothing to do. We can listen to loud, loud music, we can have fun, we can dance.”
