Fans think Kehlani has some serious explaining to do after this video went viral.
Kehlani knows a few things about hitting an 8-count. The R&B star has been singing, songwriting, and dancing at a young age and the training shows. Which is why fans wanted the Bay Area native to partake in Megan Thee Stallion’s “Wanna Be” challenge.
Kehlani graciously declined in a video, claiming that “This is muscle a**. It don’t move like theirs is moving.” Twerking like the “Hot Girl Coach” herself is no easy feat. However, after fans got a hold of this video, they’re calling Kehlani’s bluff.

The 29-year-old, who recently celebrated their birthday in true Taurus fashion, shared a video of them dancing to a TikTok routine set to their new song “After Hours.” Made by dancer and TikToker Darius Hickman, the dance involves some slick movements way beyond a two-step and it also requires twerking. And who was front and center showing off their moves? Kehlani, of course.
Kehlani posted the video with the caption “LETS GO! i made @dariushickman_teach me his dance challenge finally lol what it gave????? 🎲♠️ 💒🥂💥🦩❤️🔥🔪♠️🎲 #afterhours.”
It gave us everything, Kehlani. Fans flocked to the “After Hours” singer’s post to shower them with praise. Cardi B stated that she watched the video “10 times already,” while fellow R&B singer and bestie Destin Conrad wrote “bowww bowww bowww.” Influencer, model, and dancer Cristian Dennis wrote what we all thought, commenting, “now THATS what im talking about 👏🏾😮💨.” But what did Hickman think? Well, he had nothing, but praise for the R&B superstar.
“IT GAVE CHEWING 🤭😌❤️,” Hickman wrote.
We agree. Kehlani’s new single “After Hours” is out now.
