Lady Gaga sends fans wild with her latest Instagram post

Lady Gaga has sent her fans wild with her latest Instagram photos. The reason? It includes two shots of her in a recording studio.

Lady Gaga’s last solo studio album was Chromatica, which came out in May 2020. She released Love For Sale, with the late Tony Bennett, in 2021.

Her last solo single was “Hold My Hand” from the Top Gun: Maverick soundtrack in 2021. In short, her fans are gagging for some new material.

Of course, just because Gaga’s working on new music, it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the follow-up to Chromatica. It could be a one-off single or something for her next movie: Joker: Folie à Deux.

However, it has now been almost four years since Chromatica, which is a long gap for Gaga between solo albums.

Either way, her Instagram post, posted late last night, has racked over 850,000 likes in less than 10 hours.

Some eagle-eyed observers spotted that Ariana Grande, who collaborated with Gaga on the single “Rain On Me”, was among those to like the post.

Coincidentally, Ariana Grande also confirmed this week that she would be back soon with new music. On social media on Sunday she revealed her new single, “Yes, And?” would be out this Friday (January 12th). Grande had already teased in late December that her next album would be out this year.

Joker: Folie à Deux

Despite a gap in releasing music, Gaga has kept busy since the release of Chromatica. Not only was there the postponed, post-pandemic Chromatica world tour but there was the album with Tony Bennett and the 2021 House of Gucci movie to promote.

Gaga spent a chunk of 2023 filming the role of Harley Quinn for the eagerly awaited Joker sequel from director Todd Phillips.

Joker: Folie à Deux, which has been billed as a musical thriller, will hit movie theaters in October, exactly five years since the release of the first Joker movie. Joaquin Phoenix will be reprising his Oscar-winning role opposite love interest Gaga (Quinn).

Director Phillips treated fans to a couple of images from the movie, featuring the two leads, to welcome in 2024 a couple of weeks ago. Swipe below to see Gaga and Phoenix together.

In short, expect to be seeing and hearing plenty from Gaga later in 2024.
