Sam Smith and Alicia Keys singing in a NYC gay bar was not on our 2024 Pride bingo card.

Last night, historic New York gay bar Julius hosted Smith and a cadre of fabulous friends for a karaoke pride celebration. It also seems to coincide with promotion for Smith’s upcoming release, a 10th anniversary edition of their debut album In the Lonely Hour. “Unholy” collaborator Kim Petras, trans social media maven Dylan Mulvaney, and drag nightlife icon Lady Bunny were in attendance.

Not to mention, fans were given a special performance by Smith and Keys. The two Grammy winners took to Julius stage to belt our Smith’s hit “I’m Not the Only One” in perfect harmony. Smith took to Instagram to share a snippet of the performance. The caption reads “What an honour @juliusbarnyc ♥️@aliciakeys, you are wonderful x.”

“I’m Not the Only One” was the fifth single off of 2014’s In The Lonely Hour, peaking at number 5 Billboard Hot 100 and number 3 on the UK Singles chart. The music video featured Glee‘s Dianna Agron and Birds of Prey‘s Chris Messina. Smith also created a remix with rapper and Rihanna‘s beau, A$AP Rocky.

While, “I’m Not the Only One” was a hit, so was the rest of the album, spawning several singles, including, “Lay Me Down,” “Like I Can,” “Money on my Mind,” and the international hit “Stay with Me.” The album, which Smith described as “a diary from a lonely 21-year-old,” catapulted Smith into global success, earning them two BRIT awards and four Grammy awards.

Now, the re-release will bring back these Smith hits, along with several new tracks, including “Little Sailor.” Additionally, a collector’s edition features 25 songs across four LPs and two CDs, including live renditions of the album’s songs and special features with Mary J. Blige, John Legend, and A$AP Rocky. Smith took to X to announce the upcoming re-release, revealing the 10th anniversary edition album cover.

“In The Lonely Hour (10th Anniversary Edition). This year marks a decade since the release of my debut album. I feel so incredibly lucky to be celebrating this milestone with you. My team and I have created this beautiful anniversary edition for us all, and for the last 10 years. Today is only the beginning Sailors, we have so much to celebrate with you between now and August. I can’t wait to look back on ‘In The Lonely Hour‘ together.”
