Tinashe is selling condoms and temporary tattoos so we can match her freak

Match Tinashe‘s freak with this new merchandise.

Tinashe’s “Nasty” continues to climb up the charts and the 31-year-old singer-songwriter is living for the success, as is her fans. Since “Nasty” received the meme treatment on TikTok, you can catch anyone singing “I’ve been a nasty girl” everywhere you go. But if you’re nasty enough to match Tinashe’s freak, then maybe this new merchandise is just for you.

Tinashe’s merchandise website called “Merch For You,” a reference to her album Songs For You, now boasts “Match My Freak” attire. The “Nasty” singer is selling multiple items with the “match my freak” lyrics. But if you’re really about matching Tinashe’s nasty, then there are lower back temporary tattoos and monogrammed condoms waiting for you.

For $5, fans can purchase an individual condom wrapped in silver foil and adorned in Quantum Baby album promo script. There’s also a note from Tinashe saying “Please provide to those with good technique,” another reference to the lyrics in “Nasty.” But you have plenty of protection and are looking for something aesthetically pleasing, then maybe a temporary tattoo, at $4 each, is more your speed.

With festivals stops, a late night TV show performance, and cosigns from Beyoncé and Janet Jackson, TInashe is riding a wave of new success thanks to “Nasty.” While the singer has been around creating R&B pop since her debut album Aquarius, her turn towards being an independent artist put her under the mainstream radar. While she released four albums as an independent artist, the success of “Nasty” has put her back on the mainstream map and she’s steady riding the wave of success.

“For me, I’m riding it until the wheels fall off,” Tinashe explained to Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1. “This is what you do all of this for, you hope for these types of moments.”

Definitely worth it, considering how much her independent artist status has cost her. The singer revealed that she funded majority of her tours and typically loses a couple hundred thousand dollars. Still, Tinashe maintains a laser-like focus and it’s paying off.

“Like I said, this full album’s coming out and people are going to see that this isn’t just a one-off thing,” Tinashe added. “This isn’t a fluke. There’s continued music. There’s music videos coming out. There’s performances. We’re just going to keep going, but at the same time, this moment is also so impactful. Why not just have fun and go hard?”
