Euphoria makeup director Doniella Davy confirms more iconic looks are just around the corner

As soon as Euphoria premiered in 2020, it became a cultural phenomenon. The series was chock-full of iconic content: breakout performances by Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Jacob Elordi and more; plotlines that had our jaws dropping week after week; and a signature makeup style that changed Gen Z’s style forever.

Now, Euphoria’s head makeup artist Doniella Davy has confirmed that Season 3 is underway, bringing more iconic makeup looks with it.

“Tomorrow is the day I move into the Euphoria Season 3 makeup trailer,” Davy said in a video posted to Instagram today. “A truck is coming to my house in five hours to collect all of my stuff — my makeup, my tools, everything I need to department head the show, to get the trailer set up — and then tomorrow my team and I are going to be loading in to our trailer, where we will spend the next nine months filming Euphoria Season 3.” Davy then showed the massive collection of bins that will help her bring the series’ long-awaited third season to life, and with that, she was off to set.

In the video’s caption Davy clarified the timeline: “Actually I filmed this yesterday. TODAY is load-in day,” she wrote, meaning that as of January 17, Euphoria Season 3 is officially in production, with cast members including Zendaya, Eric Dane, Sydney Sweeney, Maude Apatow, and Colman Domingo set to return.

Davy’s track record on Euphoria’s makeup speaks for itself. She won two Emmy Awards for Outstanding Contemporary Makeup for the show’s first and second seasons, and though we don’t know what she’s planning for Season 3, a makeup visionary like her isn’t likely to disappoint. The season has no set release date, but it’s expected to premiere in early 2026.

Davy was also behind some of the past year’s most iconic makeup looks on our favorite lesbian celebs, including both of Chappell Roan’s looks for Coachella, Roan’s PAPER Magazine cover, Reneé Rapp’s makeup for Lollapalooza, and Jojo Siwa’s iconic LADYGUNN photo shoot (y’know, the one with the bedazzled codpiece).
