JoJo Siwa going viral for a new controversy? Sounds about right.
The “Karma” singer’s latest round of discourse stems from her new look in a magazine photo shoot — particularly what she’s wearing over her crotch. On the cover of LADYGUNN, Siwa wore a bedazzled golden torso, abs, nipples, and all, with an anatomically correct codpiece to match.
Like all of Siwa’s bizarre choices these days, the outfit got its fair share of haters, who were equally turned off by the look and by Siwa herself.

But others can’t help but love the look. It’s something a drag king would rock in the club, playing with expectations of gender in a camp yet couture way.
RelatedSiwa says she has European ancestry that ties her to the country.“Sexual attraction” and “fondness” aren’t synonyms, says the discourse sparked by a viral post.
Still, there’s one thing holding the look back: the person wearing it. People are simply over Siwa’s constant attention-grabbing antics — but no matter what, she stays in the public eye, which is exactly what she’s after, per her new interview with LADYGUNN.
the way her only way to remain relevant is by shock value and making ppl talk about her negatively

“I learned at a very young age that in the public eye, any attention is attention…whether it be good attention or just attention,” Siwa said. “I just signed with new management, and they’re great, amazing people. They were like, alright, we got to get people to rally around you and really start to like you. And I was like, oh no, that’s not the point.”
Her controversial outfit choice is part of that too, she said: “We can’t just do a cool photo shoot and hope for the best. It has to be like, what the f*ck is she wearing now? You know what I mean? It has to be what is the next Halloween costume.”
The full look was created by Sparkyle Studio, helmed by New York City club kid-turned-designer Kyle Farmery. Should we begrudgingly admit that Siwa ate this time, or is the look still a no?
