Why ‘Hazbin Hotel’ stars Daphne Rubin-Vega and Jessica Vosk believe the party is in hell

From the mind of creator Vivienne Medrano to the depth of hells, Hazbin Hotel is officially open for business. So let the devilish antics ensue.

What was once a popular YouTube series is now a full-fledged animated show packed with hilarious adult humor, fabulously fiendish characters, and Broadway-esque musical numbers, thanks to Prime Video and A24. The series follows the princess of Hell, Charlie (Erika Henningsen), as she takes on the daunting task of rehabilitating her kingdom’s demons to peacefully reduce hell’s overpopulation. To do so, she opens up a hotel to check in some of hell’s worst so that they check out into heaven.

Unfortunately, her first test subject, adult film star Angel Dust (Blake Roman), is going to give her a run for her money. Thankfully, her devoted partner Vaggie (Stephanie Beatriz), and fellow demons Husk (Keith David) and Nifty (Kimiko Glenn) are there to assist her. Not to mention, she also has the help of a mysterious entity known as the “Radio Demon (Amir Talai),” who may not have her best interest at heart, but is willing to turn her wild dream into reality.

INTO spoke with Daphne Rubin-Vega, who plays a demon named Carmilla, and Jessica Vosk, who plays an angel named Lute, about why the party is actually in hell.
