Donald Trump Is First Newly-Elected President to Lose the Most Admired Man Poll Ever

Consider Donald Trump’s wig snatched.

The president of the United States was able to the *very first* person to do something this week. According to a new poll from Gallup, Trump is the very first first-year president to lose the annual “Most Admired Man” poll ever in the poll’s history.

As pointed out by ShareBlue, a look back at previous polls shows that each president took the title in his first year of the presidency except Trump.

Continuing a 10-year streak, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton top both the polls of Most Admired Man and Woman, though by smaller margins than in years past. Barack Obama beat Donald Trump 17% to 14% while Clinton narrowly beat Michelle Obama, 9% to 7%.

Given Trump’s obsession with Hillary Clinton, he probably wouldn’t love to know that this is Clinton’s 22nd time taking the title of Most Admired Woman.

The poll is based on a telephone survey of over 1,000 adults done in December.
