Marjorie Taylor Greene blasts GOP colleagues, including “vaping, groping” Lauren Boebert

GOP Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert infamously don’t get along, despite both being in the MAGA wing of the Republican Party. Last night, MTG demonstrated there is still plenty of bad blood between them with a highly personal swipe on X.

On Wednesday, a resolution led by Greene to censure Democratic Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) failed. Greene accused Tlaib, the only US Representative of Palestinian descent, of anti-semitism. Nineteen Republicans voted against Greene’s resolution, which clearly incensed her.

Over the last two days, Greene has posted several tweets blasting her GOP colleagues for not supporting her and calling them “feckless”.

One of those to vote against Greene’s measure was Chip Roy of Texas. He said on social media the reason he didn’t support the resolution was over Greene’s use of the word “insurrection”.

Clearly responding to Greene’s tweet mentioning him, Roy said via his press office account, “Tonight’s feckless resolution to censure Tlaib was deeply flawed and made legally and factually unverified claims, including the claim of leading an ‘insurrection’.”

Greene re-shared his thread and attacked Roy’s supposedly MAGA credentials.

“You voted to kick me out of the freedom caucus, but keep CNN wannabe Ken Buck and vaping groping Lauren Boebert and you voted with the Democrats to protect Terrorist Tlaib. You hate Trump, certified Biden’s election, and could care less about J6 defendants being persecuted.”

Greene was kicked out of the Freedom Caucus, a group of the most right-leaning members of the U.S. House, in July.

Greene’s blistering attack on her GOP colleagues was roundly mocked online.

News that Greene and Boebert don’t get along first emerged in April 2022. Politico reported the two women had to be separated after getting into a heated argument behind closed doors over Greene’s appearance at an event held by White Nationalist Nick Fuentes.

In June this year, Greene was overheard calling Boebert a “little b*tch” on the floor of Congress.

The comment about “vaping, groping” Boebert refers to an incident in Denver, Colorado. Boebert and a date were asked to leave a theatre after disrupting other patrons. On a security camera, the two were caught fondling each other. It also caught Boebert vaping, which was not allowed in the auditorium.

Marjorie Taylor Green pushes her anti-trans legislation

When not pushing to censure Democrats, or arguing with fellow GOP lawmakers, Greene returned to another of her favorite pastimes last night: bashing trans youth.

Greene is possibly one of the most anti-trans lawmakers in Congress. Besides proudly displaying a sign outside her office declaring “There are only two genders”, she’s attempting to pass her “Protect Children’s Innocence Act”. The legislation will make it a felony to offer gender-affirming care to anyone under the age of 18.

Greene says she will be speaking before a judiciary committee today about her legislation. She also took the opportunity to share a trailer for a documentary by right-wing, Christian-leaning education organization PragerU. ‘Detrans: The Dangers of Gender Affirming Care’ has been slammed by many LGBTQ advocates since it appeared earlier this week.

It got a major boost by being allowed a sponsored ‘Timeline Takeover’ on X yesterday. The campaign, and the documentary itself, were slammed by HRC President Kelley Robinson, President of the LGBTQ+ advocacy group, HRC.

“Shame on Elon Musk and X for prioritizing their bottom line over the lived experience and humanity of transgender people. Gender affirming care is safe, medically necessary, backed by decades of research, and supported by every major medical association.

“So-called documentaries like the one peddled by PragerU do nothing more than spread misinformation and stigmatize transgender people. Given the growing threats of violence faced by the transgender community, offering a platform to this type of hate-filled propaganda is not just immoral–it’s dangerous.”
