President-elect Donald Trump can’t seem to stop making disastrous choices for his cabinet, from putting Elon Musk in charge of “government efficiency” to letting Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (who believes vaccines can cause autism) run the Department of Health and Human Services. But one of his latest choices might be the most mystifying of all — particularly because it has the internet seeing double.
To lead the Department of Education, you might expect Trump to choose a celebrated educator, or perhaps someone with ties to academia. Maybe even a successful politician? But no — Trump named Linda McMahon — a retired professional wrestler who co-founded the WWE — as his Secretary of Education.
McMahon is a left-field choice, having no ties to the world of education and not even being a standout in the political world, never having won an election despite running for Senate twice. But she’s standing out to the internet for an entirely different reason: She and Trump bear an uncanny resemblance.
There are plenty of running theories on Trump and McMahon’s similarities. Perhaps McMahon is Trump’s drag person Anita Recount, or the result of his first year on HRT. Maybe she’s what happened when Trump took the substance, and they’ll be switching off every week from here on out. (We expect to see Monstro Donalinda running for office in 2028.)

RelatedThis is actually terrifyingRemember Trump voter regret? Well, unsurprisingly, it’s back with a vengeance.
Others can’t get over the fact that we’ll have someone who knows more about wrestling than teaching in charge of the Department of Education. Will she be running our schools like a WWE championship?
Trump’s presidency is shaping up to be more and more farcical by the day. Let’s just hope America doesn’t get beat up in the process.
