X is going nuts over a Simpsons clip that appears to show something fans have long been suspecting – that beloved character Milhouse is trans.
The clip comes from the episode “Double, Double, Boy in Trouble,” in which Bart meets a doppelganger that he switches lives with. When Bart meets his doppelganger, he also encounters what appears to be an older version of himself, who shows a picture that reveals he’s married to Milhouse – who’s depicted as a woman. This leads fans to come to a natural conclusion—that Milhouse, often the butt of queer jokes on the show, is a trans woman, and that Bart is at his best self when he marries her.
