For eight spectacular seasons, the web series UNHhhh gave the gay internet life. The show was known for its random topics, chaotic editing, and — of course — the magical chemistry between hosts Trixie Mattel and Katya. The two are now an iconic duo, but despite appearing together on Season 7 of RuPaul’s Drag Race, it was UNHhhh that cemented them as a pair.
The show aired on YouTube and WOW Presents Plus from 2016 to 2023, but since its 229th episode, UNHhhh has been on a seemingly indefinite hiatus. Many fans assumed the show had ended for good, especially considering the success of Trixie and Katya’s other ventures together, including their podcast The Bald and the Beautiful — but after two years of radio silence, fans have renewed hope, thanks to a detail spotted by an internet sleuth.
On Reddit, one eagle-eyed fan shared some snooping they’d done in the United States Copyright Office’s public catalog. It may sound like an unlikely source for drag gossip, but as the user shared to the Drag Race subreddit, a copyright with the title “UNHhhh Season 9” was claimed on May 12, 2025. “Not to pound the alarm but could it be that funny green screen queen show is finally coming back?” they wondered.

The rumors quickly spread across social media, with Trixie and Katya fans going into a frenzy over the possibility of UNHhhh’s return.
But others wondered how Trixie and Katya, busy as they are with other projects — including a podcast that fundamentally replaced UNHhhh — could have the time to return to World of Wonder’s basement for another season. Could it be that UNHhh would return with a different duo of queens? Or even a different duo every episode? And would the show even be successful without Trixie and Katya attached? Only time will tell — but for now, all we can do is rewatch old episodes and pray for the best. (I’ve linked one of my personal favorite episodes, “The Weather,” below. Rewatch it.
