Come Back

Why Isn’t Kornbread “The Snack” Jeté Returning For Season 15 of Drag Race!?

It was a travesty when Kornbread “The Snack” Jeté had to leave season 14 of RuPaul’s Drag Race after injuring her ankle during a challenge. But fans took solace knowing she’d back on our screens next season, like Eureka’s return to season 10 or Veronica Green’s to Drag Race UK season 3. But Kornbread recently took to Twitter to announce that she won’t be back next season.

“My run on season 14 was nothing short of AMAZING,” Kornbread tweeted. “Unfortunately I will not be returning to Season 15 of RuPaul’s Drag Race. Great things ahead! I love and appreciate you all for the support. Let’s make magic!”

And it’s not because she’s appearing on the next All Stars season. “I’m not on anybodys all stars,” she wrote. “Wasn’t my decision,” she added, punctuating it with a smiley face. What producer do I need to threaten to change their mind and get Kornbread back to Drag Race where she belongs!?

At least Kornbread is taking advantage of her time off. “A bitch just wants to focus on her transition,” she wrote, linking to an article from Entertainment Weekly that she says sums up her plans for the future.

“I’ve been running around doing shows … I want to complete my journey into transitioning, and I want to go into full-time acting. That’s what I came to L.A. for, and drag just happened to happen, which is the greatest thing to happen to me besides discovering my self-identity,” Kornbread said in the interview. “I ain’t stopping here; I’m going to still act a fool on Twitter. I got nothing but time, now!”

Speaking of acting, Kornbread may not be returning to Drag Race, but she’ll be back on our TVs in Hocus Pocus 2 when it comes to Disney+ this fall. Kornbread will play a drag version of Kathy Najimy’s Mary Sanderson, with fellow Drag Race alumni Ginger Minj and Kahmora Hall portraying the other two iconic witches.

Anway, Kornbread for All Stars 8! Or 9! Or 10! Please, Kornbread. We need to see you in a crown.
