Another Friday, another Nancy Mace attempt at destroying her own career.
Last time we checked in, her court battle against the man who crushed her arm with a handshake was thrown out by the judge. The man Nancy Mace accused of injuring her was 33 year old foster care advocate James McIntyre. While shaking her hand, McIntyre said to Mace: “trans youth are also foster youth, and they need your support.”. Mace being the irritable transphobe she is, decided to call the police on him, claiming he injured her with his handshake.
It would seem that falsely accusing a foster care worker is not a good look for a U.S. State Representative serving as a co-chair on the Congressional Caucus on Foster Youth.

Recently Youth Services Insider confirmed that Nancy Mace had been removed from the caucus around the time of the incident.
There was never any public announcement of Mace’s decision to leave the caucus following this incident, and she is still listed on their website as one of 6 co-chairs.
According to an official roster of caucus leadership in January of this year, however, Mace is not listed as a co-chair, and it was confirmed from Mace’s Communication Director Gabrielle Lipsky that “she is no longer on the caucus,” in an email.
It is not known whether she withdrew by her own omission, or was voted off. Considering the actions that Mace took around December 10th, it would not be too wild to believe she was asked to resign by other members. It would be like if a communications person for the Humane Society was recorded kicking a dog.
Here you have someone who is on a committee that works to protect and promote the welfare of children in foster care, lying to police and wasting police and court resources, just to falsely imprison a man who also works to protect and promote the welfare of children in foster care.
I can only hope that next headline reads “Former U.S. Rep. Nancy Mace removed from Congress”.
