Heartstopper season 3
Stop reading now if you wish to avoid mild spoilers for Season 3 of ‘Heartstopper’.
The third, eagerly-awaited season of Heartstopper drops on Netflix on October 3. The show premiered in 2022 and is based on the beloved graphic novels by Alice Oseman. The series centers on the romantic relationship between two school boys, Charlie and Nick (played by Joe Locke and Kit Connor).
Until now, the relationship has been fairly chaste. However, Locke told Variety this week that the third season will show more of Charlie and Nick becoming sexual with one another.
“The show is growing up,” Locke said. “The second half of the season is about sex.”
It seems that it won’t just be Charlie and Nick getting it on. Netflix has dropped details about forthcoming episodes of its Heartstopper podcast. Internet sleuths have spotted that at least two other couples on the show talk about having sex and their experience with intimacy coordinators on set.
This includes Kizzy Edgell and Corinna Brown (who play Darcy and Tara) and Yasmin Finney and Will Gao (who play Elle and Tao).
so turns out this season is a LOT more mature than i expected 😭

well ig it made sense bc of the age rating change plus cori and kizzy even said certain scenes didnt even feel like heartstopper (still excited nonetheless! just a bit of a shock) pic.twitter.com/gLwEbYYG3i
Related“There are days that I never want to play a gay character again,” Locke said in a new interview about his two leading TV roles this fall.“It matures a little bit with the audience, and as the characters grow up, you start to see them exploring more adult topics,” Connor said.
