Philosofay is a London-based makeup/fashion influencer on Instagram with a creative approach to the art of cosmetology.
Philosofay will often create looks interpreting different objects and mediums, often drawing inspiration from unlikely places, including this colorful take on the Venus Flytrap.

Another look was inspired by Philosofay’s own pen and paper art style, using one of their drawings as a reference.
They also experiment with using fabrics and materials to create certain looks; in this example, they use lace fabric to imprint the design of the fabric on their skin using various blushes and foundations.
With this look, they create a mask out of yarn and conceal it with makeup to create something reminiscent of a creepy doll from Coraline.
They also create styles that embrace physical features that are often seen as blemishes by conventional beauty standards. It’s a Picasso-esque way of saying f*** your beauty standards.
