The TikTok account Meet Cutes NYC has long been a source of prime romantic content. The account’s videos feature person-on-the-street interviews with couples who explain how they first met. One of the account’s latest videos features Malvin and Britton, a queer couple that immediately stole the internet’s hearts.
Though the duo initially seemed cautious about being approached on the street, they lit up when they realized who they were talking to. After shouting with excitement, Britton said, “We met on Bedford and 6th, on the street!”
Britton left the rest of the story up to Malvin, encouraging him with a “Tell him, baby,” that has TikTok swooning.

“It was a Sunday, like today,” Malvin explained, saying that he was walking down the street when he saw Britton riding on a bike. “I turn and I see him, and then I was like, ‘Wow, he’s gorgeous. Beautiful.’”
“I was like, ‘If he stops, I’m actually going to walk up to him,’” he continued. “And then I think he thought the same thing, so he slowed down the bike and I walked up to him, and: boom.”
Upon seeing Malvin for the first time, Britton recalled thinking, “Damn, he’s fine. Holy sh*t.”

Later that same day, while Britton was at the gym thinking about their chance encounter, Malvin hit him with a text.
“He was like, ‘Do you want to have lunch?’” Britton said. “He took me grocery shopping the first day we met, and we went to his house and made lunch, and didn’t f*ck.”
The two have now been together for two years, they said. Britton’s favorite thing about Malvin is “his patience,” he said. “I’m a Scorpio, and he lets me be. He’s a good one.”
Meanwhile, Malvin’s favorite thing about Britton is “his soul,” he said. “It’s a beautiful soul.”
And what’s next on the docket for the happy couple? “Babies,” Britton said. “Right?” Malvin agreed before the two burst into laughter.
The clip quickly went viral across social media, with folks on TikTok and X gushing over Britton and Malvin’s adorable dynamic.
After the video went viral, Britton — full name Britton Smith, who’s also the frontman of the band Britton & The Sting — reposted it to his own Instagram, writing a heartfelt tribute not only to Malvin, but to the world for being so celebratory of their love.
