The toy company Mattel just made a huge, if hilarious, mistake concerning the new release of Wicked tie-in dolls.
Related“You have to find someone to match your level, and you’re only gonna find that in another woman.”
After the merch was released, users quickly learned that instead of a bar code that links to the Mattel website, it takes users to an adult website.

The website printed on the box, www.wicked.com, belongs to Wicked Pictures, an adult film agency that boasts having riffs on popular films like Black Widow and Captain Marvel with an…18+ twist. The agency also boasts about featuring famous adult actors like Stormy Daniels—yes, the same Stormy Daniels that sued Donald Trump—as well as Jessica Drake, Julia Ann, Asa Akira, and Blake Blossom.
The official website is www.wickedmovies.com, which—along with the Wicked Pictures site—has seen a surge in traffic the past few days in response to this controversy.
Mattel responded to a request for comment from Variety by saying, “Mattel was made aware of a misprint on the packaging of the Mattel ‘Wicked’ collection dolls, primarily sold in the U.S., which intended to direct consumers to the official WickedMovie.com landing page. We deeply regret this unfortunate error and are taking immediate action to remedy this.”
Unfortunate indeed! They continued, stating:
“Parents are advised that the misprinted, incorrect website is not appropriate for children. Consumers who already have the product are advised to discard the product packaging or obscure the link and may contact Mattel Customer Service for further information.”
