In the queer community, size (sadly) still matters. But that doesn’t mean that things aren’t changing. We know that sometimes the unattainable body standards we face can be harmful, so why don’t we do more to change things and celebrate body diversity—along with every other type of diversity?
That, it seems, is the question. When one Redditor went online to post about his love of short kings, all hell broke loose. Sort of.
“I don’t know why, I feel short guys to be very cute. Doesn’t matter the body type. A few days ago I’ve [sic] met a bi guy who was only slightly overweight but have [sic] decent muscle and big thighs and huge a**.”

Culture, unfiltered
Twice a week, our newsletter will bring you the pulse of queer culture, from the tastemakers to the groundbreakers.
However, after the original poster clarified that the “short” guy in question was actually 5’9”, other users had thoughts about what actually counts as “short.”
“172cm/5ft8in isn’t short,” one poster explained, while another said: “It isn’t tall.”
Still, why the emphasis on tall men? “Well this is the confidence boost I needed lol because I think I’m short (165cm)” someone else wrote.
But what about the true short kings, the folks coming in at 5’1” or 5’2”? After one poster explained that he’s exactly five feet tall, another replied that he’s the perfect height for “stand and carry,” a sex position beloved by short kings everywhere.
“Always loved my pocket-gays,” wrote another commenter.
“I love men my height, 5’8”, or less by a couple of inches,” wrote yet another. “Enveloping them in my arms is such a rush.”
There you have it, folks: no matter what size you are, love (and possibly great sex) is probably waiting for you just around the corner.
