The gays are asking: What’s the corniest thing you’ve ever done for a guy?

Love makes people do crazy, corny, cringy things — and a recent discussion on a gay subreddit proves it.

On a post titled, “whats the corniest thing u have done for a man?,” gay men reminisced on the moments they leaned into their cringy sides, for better or worse.

The original poster kicked things off: “i once had a boyfriend who was a huge minecraft fan, so i learned to play and created a world where i built several huge houses full of signs saying how much I loved him lol,” he wrote.

“Is it corny to pretend you know all about the car he’s obsessed with when you know nothing about it, and then to spend all night researching it before you see him again?” asked another commenter.

“Write him love songs,” recalled a third. “Some lines are genuinely good I think, but most of it it’s just my cringe 14-16 year old self thinking he’s Taylor Swift and he’ll marry this guy when they’re in their mid 20s.”

Not all the comments were so hopelessly romantic: “Left my religion for him,” wrote one commenter. “Not with him anymore but I’m still glad I made that choice because that church was toxic AF.”

Others went that extra mile for guys they were only crushing on. “I started to dress like him in hopes of impressing him and winning his heart,” commented one  “He was straight. Yes, I was delulu.”

“Threw a snowball at my crush in hopes of returned feelings,” wrote another. “I had such high expectations for such a low class act.”

“I’m cringing as I type this… but the song Teenage Dream had just came out and I emailed my crush the lyrics,” a third recalled. “He made fun of me so hard and said it was weird and told me he told all of his friends.” Ah, the things we do for love.
