Overwatch’s New Character​,​ Moira​,​ Is an Instant Gay Icon

Gaymers everywhere are rejoicing the arrival of Moira, the latest playable character in mega-popular online game Overwatch.

Moira looks like Tilda Swinton and speaks in the dark lower register of every queer villain icon from Scar to Cruella DeVil. Needless to say, we’re obsessed. (So is the internet.)

With news that those who use Mercy will now have to wait a little longer to cast resurrect, plenty of people are ready to test Moira’s healing abilities.

No word yet on when console players will be able to play Moira, as public test realm players on PC will probably have a crack at her first.

Until then, we’ll be waiting.
