This trans developer just modded herself into an iconic game

Lilith Walther is a transgender indie game developer known for her adoption of the PSX aesthetic, a 3D art style in games and animation that replicates the look and feel of video games in the mid-90s, preferably those from the original Sony Playstation.

A common trend in this subgenre is to create demakes of modern games to resemble PS1 games. Lilith’s contribution was Bloodborne PSX, which, as the name implies, is a recreation of Bloodborne. Lilith took things a step further by creating a kart racing game from it, an obvious parody of famous video game IPs creating kart racing spin-offs such as Mario-Kart, Crash Team Racing, or Garfield Kart (that’s a real game you can play, btw.)

Originally called Bloodborne Kart, she would later change it to Nighmare Kart after receiving a cease and desist from Sony. Even despite that setback, Nightmare Kart would become her most popular title, receiving a 10/10 score out of 5,799 reviews on Steam.

Lilith has a rabbit fursona named Bunlith, of whom she has made a PSX-style 3d model. She uses this as her v-tuber model and creates online memes and animations on social media.

Lilith is also known to mod old games in her free time, and in one of those cases, she decided to put Bunlith into Halo Combat Evolved by replacing the model for Cortana, Master Chief’s AI companion throughout the series, with a modified version of her Bunlith model. The model is that of a transparent Bunlith with her little hat, but wearing Cortana’s skimpy body suit.

Lillith went on to play the modded version of Halo on her Twitch Stream with her V-tuber model replaced with the Cortana model.

On her main YouTube channel, she released a trailer video announcing that the mod, titled Halo: Buntana Edition, is available to download on Steam.

For those who want to play this mod, it is available to download here.
